The Graphics Fairy

If you haven’t ever visited *The Graphics Fairy* blog, you should. I can't say I spend much time reading the posts, but that’s not the point. It’s all about eye candy. Yummy, delicious eye candy. If you’re at all into graphic design, the shabby chic/Anrtho look, or crafty projects, I’m pretty sure you’ll find something you like.

How cute is this place setting? It was featured a couple weeks ago, and the woman who created it just started with a simple glass plate, got crafty, and ended up with this adorableness.

Supper Club

Over the past year plus I’ve become a huge fan of supper club – a quaint little name for getting girls together and drinking more wine than is kosher for a weeknight.

My “main” supper club is with a bunch of college friends, and I LOVE it, but tonight I went to my first one with some girls from work. They’ve been doing these for a while now, but somehow I recently squeezed my way onto the list (what what!).

I went tonight, still super tired from the weekend (cough, cough, LB), but left – as I always seem to from my other supper club – so glad I went. I love that even though this group of girls is pretty different than the other group, and the convo also different, they're also the same in lots of ways. Gossip really is the universal language. =)

The photo is of Kristin’s lovely new patio!

LB's Getting Married!

If being out 'til 4:30 in the morning, these pictures, and her situation today are any indicator – Laura's bachelorette party in NOLA was a success.

Aside from the obvious fun of getting to celebrate her quickly-approaching wedding, it was also awesome to finally meet her Rhodes friends who I've heard so much about.

I have 3 invitations for LB + Brian related events in the next 6 weeks, so I feel like this was the official kick-off. I'm pumped!

Love you, LB!

Genius.

Yesterday morning I went down to the lobby of my office building to get a latte. No big deal. Until the lady in front of me turns to head back upstairs. Now the pic I've included is not actually of our office, but it'll help you visualize what happened.
She first goes to the door which is clearly a door, seeing as it has a handle and all, but when she pushes nothing happens. Now rather than try pulling, she then walks to the solid pane of glass that (in this pic, anyway) says “Royal Apartment” and tries pushing that. Really?! When that doesn’t work, she looks up thoroughly confused, then walks around to another set of doors. Seriously? Seriously?!? And someone pays her to work in this building...

A Happy Eastertide

We had a nice little Easter today, starting with church at Holy Trinity. I imagine some people thought the decor was a little gaudy (hello pink gauze), but I loved it! My mom sang and played the flute, and our aunt, uncle, and cousins from Arlington came to spend the day with us. After church we came back to my mom's place for brunch with everyone who'd been at church plus a couple of Mom's choir friends, Pat, Stacy, and Baby Jack! We had quiche, ham, and mimosas. Oh - and lots of chocolate. Hallelujah for being able to eat sweets again!

After everyone left, I resisted taking a nap (even though I reeeeaaally wanted to), and did some laundry and closet organizing. My shoes are now perfectly placed and stacked in (too expensive) Container Store boxes. Next step? Polaroid pics and/or labels. Exciting stuff. Sometimes it's the little things, ya know? Oh, and during all of this I managed to watch two movies – Sabrina (the old school one) and About a Boy.

I'm super pumped about my short work week, the Sonya Renee party at Anne's on Thursday, and New Orleans for a long weekend. Yay!
