It’s hard for me to wrap my head around why this is happening to Sarah – someone who’s so young and such a good person and who should be enjoying her days as a newlywed, happy and healthy. Not saying goodbye. I am so sad for her, but also – so much – for her family. What it would be like to lose a sibling, I can’t even fathom. And though I can’t exactly relate, I know losing a child or spouse would be equally or even more devastating.Without getting too sad (I know, I already went there), what I will say is this – Sarah has touched so many people with her life, and I know that she’s made a lot of us SRD Herders stop to think about what really matters in life. Maybe we could all be a little more patient. Less catty. More caring. Live each day to the fullest. Be thankful for what we’ve been given.
So, today on Valentine’s Day I want you to know that if you are a part of my family or one of my friends – I love you and I’m thankful for you being in my life. Take a minute today to slow down and recognize everything you have.
Love to you all.
Love you too! I just had a friend commit suicide yesterday and it is so crazy how fleeting life is. You just never know. I'm so thankful to have you as a friend! MWAH!
ReplyDeleteInspiration for my blog post today, too. Her love story and zest for life inspired us all. Thank you Amy for posting a link to Sarah's blog months ago. She's changed the way I look at things.
ReplyDeleteXOXO,
Jill
